The Pioneer Football League crowned a new champion in 2008 in the Jacksonville Dolphins after Dayton and San Diego dominated the top of the standings the last few years. While the PFL champion lost the GridIron Classic for the first time in the three-year annual event, the Dolphins still had an impressive season.

As most know, the Pioneer Football League consists of nine schools that do not offer scholarships to its players. It’s the only FCS conference that is truly nonscholarship.

Just amazing that EVERYONE seems to "forget" that the Ivy League is non-ATHLETIC scholarship, JUST LIKE THE PFL! I honestly do not understand why this is so hard to accept. It must just be the ongoing Ivy envy that is rampant in FCS. It is OK to call out the PFL as non-ATHLETIC scholarship, but do not even think about describing the vaunted Ivy League in such a manner.... Sad on so many levels!
