I hit up the Hofstra game today and they definitely played inspired on defense. As you said it, another crazy year in the A-10

Watching Richmond last week, especially Stacy Tutt, I just kept wondering, Why did it take 2 games for Clawson to realize that Tutt needed to be the QB?

Watching Richmond last week, especially Stacy Tutt, I just kept wondering, Why did it take 2 games for Clawson to realize that Tutt needed to be the QB?

It's a long story but there was an article in the Harrisonburg papers before the JMU game with a good summary. Essentially Tutt wasn't preparing properly to play QB last year or in the offseason. Clawson stuck to his guns and played the freshman. After the 0-2 start Tutt came back to Clawson and offered to change. He's been a different player since and shown himself as a true leader.

Well that explains a lot. My read of Tutt in the past was that he was a great talent who would make mistakes or go flat for a period of time. This year I have seen none of that.
