I don't know if much has been said about this, but I couldn't help but notice a sparse crowd. How much of that had to do with canceled flights? Great pics though!

Thanks for the pix.
It's interesting to see what it looked like from the "other" side of the field!

11 Montana fans from my flight were stuck in Denver.

Keep in mind the crowd pics that I took were all from the Griz side of the field, so the crowd you see in my pics were of the Richmond fans. It seemed like the North side where the griz fans were was quite full.

For my first trip to a championship game, it was an amazing experience. I took my mother with me because even though she's not a Montana alum, her money did go there!

We drove from Illinois on Thursday. I left the Chicago area and picked her up three hours down the road right outside of Effingham. We boogied into Chattanooga about an hour before the rally at the convention center.

The next day, we came to the conclusion that "Go Griz!" had replaced "Good Morning" in the local vernacular.

I was a senior in college in 1995. I didn't have the money to go to Marshall. In 1996, I was just starting working and didn't have any money either. In 2000, I had just started a new job and had no vacation time. In 2001, I had just bought a house (thus, no money). In 2004, I had met my husband to be and he was unable to attend and I couldn't find anyone to go with me. 2008 was supposed to be it...but this just means that the next time the Griz make it to Chatty, I'll have to be there yelling and cheering them on again.

As far as the game, I yelled until I was hoarse, but alas, it just seemed that they weren't the same team that they had been a week ago against JMU I wish that my first trip to see the Griz in person since 2001 had turned out differently, but it wasn't meant to be.

It is however, my firm belief that the Griz will come back next year and be a force to be reckoned with in 2009. How many days until football starts again?

Congrats to the Spiders!

I wish in 05 we would have been able to be in the stands with just T-shirts on. I mean I guess I could have, but 25 degrees is a little cold for me to wear short sleeves (I know I am a wuss).

Great pictures!
