I guess the answer to your question is 4, heck, one of them was a DII team, one of them was in the playoffs.

Someone please now quote my "In 08' UNI lost to:" "Nobody" and put, "yet?" HA HA HA

UNI also lost to Stephen F. Austin in the Dome in 2004. so that brings the total up to 5.

I'm always amazed how much playing at home helps some teams. Our most interesting stat is sort of the other way. I calculate that over the last 11 seasons, we have 38 wins away and only 37 at home.

Do you guys have difficulty scheduling non-conference home games like we do?

I don't know if we've had difficulty scheduling non-conference home games, but the ones we've had over the last 8 years aren't really with any "big-time," marquee teams. We've played VMI forever at home, which is fine with me, and a few others like Furman, Bucknell, and Stony Brook. That's about it. I'd be happy if Furman would make another appearance, or any of the other first-tier SOCON teams.

Richmond plays well on the road.... In the past 14 months, the Spiders have won on the road at JMU, Appalachian, Delaware, Massachusetts, Wofford, Elon and William & Mary.. pretty impressive resume of venues!! Now let's add the "dome" to this list

VMI is a home & home (VMI/W&M/UR were equal programs once upon a time). The last I heard Elon was to be the opening game at the new mini-me stadium in 2010.

To be honest I get the impression that Richmond doesn't have too much of a home field advantage. It just doesn't seem like too many people come out to support the team. Their road record is still impressive, regardless of their home record.

Not that other teams don't..... but I'll tell you what.... UR seems to bring it consistently when they come to Bridgeforth. They play extremely well on the road and home field advantage seems to mean nothing against them when they play at JMU.

I seem to remember another team that had a lot of success on the road in 2004...

That is not correct.

04' we were 7-4. Losses @ Iowa State, Illinois State, Southern Illinois and at home against Western Kentucky.

I don't believe we have ever lost at home to Stephen F, even in our 5-6 year on 02' we beat them at home.

I really thought our 4 home losses in 5 years was going to be mediocre, come to find out it is better than the Tub and Wa Griz. I am truly shocked, no smack intended.

I have the media guide with schedules from every year in it. And we lost to @Iowa State, vs SFA, @SIU, and vs WKU in 2004. We beat Illinois State at home that year. So we do have 5 losses at home in that time.

I was VERY drunk at the WKU loss in 2004. Very physical team in WKU that year.....

Yeah I didn't remember it till I looked up the facts in the media guide. Then again 2004 was a bad year for me.
