Missouri State University football coach Randy Ball and members of his coaching staff were told this morning that they had been fired, the News-Leader has learned.

A player on the team and a family member of another player both confirmed that Ball and his staff had been let go.

Ball was 34-42 in seven seasons as the Bears’ coach, and the team finished 4-6 this season, including a 34-24 loss in Saturday’s season finale at Western Illinois.

As of right now, the head canidate is Craig Schurig, Head Coach at Washburn. http://www.wusports.com/football/05fbmediaguide/schurigbio18-19.pdf Sounds like a guy that could get Missouri State on the map for IAA football.

At least you gave him a fair shot. 34-42 is pretty bad...
