I don't know if this was already brought up, but I found it intriguing.

From Montanagrizzlies.com writer David Guffey

100th win of the decade: Montana’s win at PSU was its 100th of the decade. The Grizzlies’ 100 victories from 2000-2008 are the most by any FBS or FCS team during that time. Oklahoma has the second most wins at 99-18, while Appalachian State is the closest FCS team in number of wins in this decade, and ranked eighth overall on the list, with a record of 87-29.

Praise to Appy and Da Griz xthumbsupx

Congrats. Very impressive.

Cal Poly has helped more than I would have liked. At least we have made the Griz earn the wins and of course we had the honor of sending them home from the 2005 playoffs. :)

Grizaholic is using the term "have win" as a possessive, as in the Griz literally have 100 wins. You mistook it as the past-tense verb. Grizaholic is hardly a dense lad.

Thanks! We just got our win number 100. So I was referring to it as The Griz have Win 100 (against PSU). () for optional reading.

In the sense that you described, "win" would be a noun, in which case the proper way to say it would be "Griz have win no. 100." xsmiley_wix

Just saying. xthumbsupx

More fun facts:

Jon Kasper, the Big Sky Conference’s Sports Info man, broke down the numbers in his weekly football release:

First to 100: The Montana Grizzlies won their 100th game since the start of the 2000 season on Saturday with a 29-12 win over Portland State. Montana is the first Division I team to win 100 games this decade, century and millennium. Montana coach Bobby Hauck has guided the Grizzlies to a 61-15 record in the last six seasons. Joe Glenn compiled a 39-6 record in three seasons from 2000-2002. Montana has won or shared 10 straight league titles, a streak that is in serious jeopardy this season. Oklahoma has 99 victories to lead all FBS teams. Appalachian State is second in the FCS with 87 wins since the start of 2000. Since the start of the 2000 season, Montana has compiled a Big Sky Conference record of 52-6. Montana has advanced to the playoffs a record 15 straight seasons, and is in position to receive at at-large bid this season.
