Because Harvard plays teams that have players on their team that receive compensation for playing football. Why do you insist on answering questions you know the answer to. Be happy with your "mid major" number one ranking. You don't see me saying "why isn't UNI ranked in the BCS poll?" We do not belong, neither does Dayton.

Who do they play? PL teams? Because if you are referring to Ivy league schools has having "players on their team that receive compensation for playing football" then you are just blatantly wrong. Ivy kids and PFL kids get the same aid.

And there is no mid-major ranking.

I was under the impression that Harvard played semi-scholarship competition? My bad, I guess that they don't belong anywhere near the top 25 either. If they got rid of the mid major poll I guess I must have missed. Apparently they didn't feel it was very important either.

If you do not give scholarships or play teams with scholarships I believe you are looking for the Division III message board.

Harvard's schedule/results. Holy Cross, Lafayette and Lehigh offer equivalencies. Ivy league teams offer $0 in financial aid based on athletic ability. Same for PFL schools.

Sep 19 - W vs. Holy Cross, 25-24
Sep 27 - L at Brown, 22-24
Oct 4 - W at Lafayette, 27-13
Oct 11 - W vs. Cornell, 38-17
Oct 18 - W vs. Lehigh, 27-24
Oct 25 - W at Princeton, 24-20
Nov 1 - W at Dartmouth, 35-7
Nov 8 - W vs. Columbia, 42-28
Nov 15 - at Penn, 12:00 PM
Nov 22 - vs. Yale, 12:00 PM

And the mid-major poll was stopped because it was an endeavor to create a subdivision within a subdivions that made little sense once the NEC skipped town.

Dayton fans, get your AD to call ours, or the AD at UMass or URI. He should know them since we're all in the A-10 together. I bet one of us would play you guys on the football field, and then we wouldn't have to wonder if you deserve more respect or not.

PFL fans like to build up gaudy records against nobodies and then complain about not getting respect. Funny thing is that their admin seems to be just fine with the status quo, if they wanted to be a playoff conference they could apply for an autobid or at least make it a conference goal to put together credible schedules but they don't.

Western Illinois is ranked but SDSU isn't? Did TSN forget that SDSU already owns a win against the Leathernecks and that WIU has lost 2 in a row?? The Jacks have a 6-4 record, with three loses against teams ranked in the top 5 at the time, compared to a 5-4 record for the Leathernecks.

You know, I think Dayton should make the playoffs. Let em' play App or JMU or UM or Weber St. or UNI. Hell, let em' play anyone that deserves to make the playoffs. That should take care of Flyer's drivel.

6-3 with exactly one win against an FCS team with a winning record. No chance of earning an at-large bid. Yet McNeese is still 16th in one poll and 14th in another? Fail. Criminally overrated.

Oh, but I forgot, McNeese played UNC tough. xcoffeex

It's because there are only 18 teams better than Harvard in FCS and about 37 teams in FCS better than Dayton.

You're Welcome!

So, who exactly below Mcneese do you think should be higher than them?? Mcneese losses are 8 pts to UNC (TOP 25 FBS), 3 pts to Texas st (conf leader) and 3 points to Nicholls and win over SDSU.

I don't see how you can say they are too high when there are no better teams shown below them, even if those teams have only 2 losses, yet weaker conferences or opponents..

I'd put Tenn.-Martin, S.C. State, Maine and Colgate ahead of McNeese. Cowboys should be in the 20-21 range.

And Texas State led that game by 25 in the fourth quarter. Let's not start acting like that was a tight game throughout.

And just what have any of those teams (besides Maine, I will give them their due after last week's win against what everyone up north says is a good Umass team) done that makes them so outstanding?

Your opinoin is of course your own but not worth anymore than anyone else and to us, not as much xcoffeex

Dayton may not deserve to be rated higher than #38 in the FCS polls, but that's a pretty darn impressive accomplishment without scholarships. xsmiley_wix
