OK-thanks, so my next question is: will the selection committee take games cancelled by hurricane into account when making their decision?

OK-thanks, so my next question is: will the selection committee take games cancelled by hurricane into account when making their decision? No, they've already said they won't.

Edit: And by that, I mean that having a game cancelled won't hurt any team's playoff chances.

No, they've already said they won't.

Nice thread, a couple of fixes.

First take Weber State off the list, they have the Big Sky auto-bid at 7-0 with only one game left to play.

JMU is 8-1 with 8 D-I

Holy Cross has two games left, so they can go 1-1 to reach 7

Dayton has 8 D-I wins, Jacksonville and San Diego can both go 1-1 for 7.

Always a good list. Still somewhere around 30 teams that are play-off eligible and can reach 8 D-I wins. Not sure 7 will have any bearing this year other than Cal-Poly.

I would start adding something about the # of autobids not shown on the list. Sort of a countdown to only at large candidates being shown.

They've clinched at least a share, but they need to beat Morgan State to win the conference outright.

MSU only has 4 D1 wins, as I was told that South Dakota will not count due to the transition period rules. :P

No chance we get in at 8-4 with two non-qualifier wins. :(

Not talking about the conference title, I'm talking about the autobid. Even if they lose next week, they'll have the autobid tiebreaker which is really the important thing.

What if SDSU goes 8-4?

If SDSU goes 8-4 (6-1 in conference), they would be co-champions of the MVFC along with UNI (unless UNI somehow loses to Indiana State this weekend). However, UNI would get the autobid due to their win over the Jackrabbits.

Then SDSU would have to hope for an at-large bid, but with 4 losses, that's not a given. It would all depend on what other possible at-large teams did, and how the committee decided to pick teams that day.

If they lose twice, Morgan State wins out, and B-CU loses one game then Morgan State wins the title outright(and the auto) because both Morgan State and SCSU would be the only 6-2 teams and MSU would have the head to head.
