I got the idea from Duck Duck Griz "oh Lord" thread.

Levi Horne is a big fella from Montana @ 6'7", 305.

Who is your biggest starting offensive and defensive lineman-if there injured but started at some point this season, there in. Hopefully we can find the biggest in FCS. I'll put together a starting lineup.

I believe one guard I saw for Hofstra play against UConn was 6'3, 355..

I'll start....

UMass-Ben Coblyn 6'8" 305 OT, Kyle Harrington, 6' 4", 285, nose tackle.
Coblyn has been listed anywhere from 6'7" to 6'9". He was a former BB player who transferred from Boston U to get back into football..

UNI has:

Everette Pedescleaux Sr DT 6'6" 305 played two years on the UNI basketball team, only DL over 300

OL has:
Austin Howard Jr OT 6'7" 301 converted from TE the last two years (played at around 275-80), also played on the UNI basketball team, starting left tackle
Jay Teply RS Fr OT 6'7" 325 starting right tackle
Bob Swift Sr OG 6'6" 315 starting left guard
(starting right guard is only 6'2" 302, center is 6'3" 300)

also have three other RS Freshman who are working into the system
Andrew BlackLance 6'6" 302, Mitch Houk 6'7" 275, and Evan Tecklenburg 6'8" 330 (a FR!)

also have several Fr OL members that are redshirting this year that top 6'4"/6'5" but have yet to put on the weight

TE's are run 6'4" 255, 6'5" 252, 6'4" 235, and 6'7" 244. The 6'7 guy doesn't count as much since he runs more like a WR.

It is absolutely amazing how big some of these players are. When I was at Towson in the early 90's we had one guy over 300 and he was a slow a$$ NG. Our o-line was an average 6'3" 265 across the board. Biggest 6'6" 285. There was only 2-4 guys in the NFL over 300 per team.

Same goes for Dayton.... Interesting. I sure would like to see a Dayton / App game.

You know, everyone is always interested in those big fella's. How about the smallest starting offensive lineman in FCS...

http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/whitten_zach00.html

Zach goes 6' 3", and a whopping 225 lbs!

It seems like Dayton has a guy like this every season. Last year our starting center went all of 234 lbs.

At any rate, does anyone have a "smaller" starting offensive lineman than Zach?

UNI has some big boys up front. The strange thing is, like said earlier, 2 of them played D1 basketball.

With the way injuries are going this year for the UNI basketball team we could use them back on the court.

Seriously, have you seen the diet regimen some of these guys are put on? It's enough to make Michael Phelps say "Thanks, but I'm full."xrotatehx

And it might be nice to see Big Everette get a chance to get back on the court, but I have a feeling that with the way his season has been going he'll be busy in the spring with combines. And no, not the agricultural kind.xthumbsupx

I don't know about O-line, possibly Acitelli? hes around the 285 range. Most of the O-line fits in that category 270-290. Kerry Brown was our only o lineman over 300 that started last year. Dline is also small and quick, we do have a Rfr. Gordy Witte 6-6 and 295. He was the state champ heavyweight wrestling his senior year of HS.

He is getting some play as a potential NFL prospect as just a redshirt freshman. I watched him in HS and he played at well over 400 lbs with some of the best feet you have ever seen, on a 200 lb guy. Just amazing athleticism.
