DALLAS, Texas – Harvard cornerback Andrew Berry has been selected as a 2008 National Football Foundation (NFF) National Scholar-Athlete Award winner and one of 15 finalists who will vie as the finalists for the Draddy Trophy, presented by HealthSouth.
As a NFF National Scholar-Athlete, Berry will receive an $18,000 post-graduate scholarship and will be on hand Dec. 9, to be honored at the 2008 NFF Annual Awards Dinner at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. The event will also include the induction of the 2008 College Football Hall of Fame and the presentation of several major awards.
The finalists come from the FBS, FCS, and even from Division II (St. Cloud State) and Division III (Carnegie-Mellon and Mount Union). The FCS finalists are Ryan Berry, QB from South Dakota State, and Berry.
