Right, because our two FCS losses are to the #1 team on the last play of the game and to a top-10 team by 6 which also lost to the #1 team on the last play of the game. Clearly we don't deserve our ranking.xconfusedx

I'm not here to make the case for my team most of the time, but when someone makes a comment that we aren't a top-10 team, that's just ignorant. Anyone who watched the games knows that JMU, UR and Villanova are about as evenly matched as three teams come, and all are top-5 caliber. We happened to lose to both of them, and I get that. But you don't hear me arguing that Montana shouldn't be in the top 10 despite getting its rear end handed to it by a team outside the top 10, either.

On one hand, you say Richmond being in the Top 10 is a 'F'n Joke' ... on the other hand, you justify your own ranking by using your standing in the GPI.

Did you see Richmond's ranking in the GPI? #3.

You're really going to mark us down for an FBS loss? Ok, that's your prerogative. Our other two losses are to teams much better than the one you lost to. And we beat Elon, which has been ranked higher all year than Weber.

If JMU had lost to us and Villanova, as they very easily could have, would you argue that they had no business in the top 10? They would also have 3 losses in that scenario.

When you are in a conference where everyone has to play everyone else, it kind of goes down like that. After this week, there will only be one SoCon team in the top 5 and if that team is App. State they could lose to Elon and then there won't be any.

I thought you did? "Richmond in the top 10 is a F'N JOKE!". If you had just said these so&so 2 or 3 teams (like Weber) should be ahead of Richmond, I wouldn't be in this discussion.

My point was until a team does reach that "magical" 4th (some years 5th) loss, the number of playoff quality teams on your schedule does matter. So a team that schedules 7 of them would have more losses (and more wins) than one that schedules 4.

As for Richmond being 11th or below it does appear that most human pollsters and computer models disagree with you.

Must be nice to be in a league that never has more than two legit playoff contenders in it so that you can win 10 games every year, always play home games and try to coast to the title game. Maybe we should join the Big South and we'd know what it was like.

Montana beating Cal Poly and losing to Weber is like us beating Elon, losing to JMU and playing Arkansas Pine-Bluff for our other 10 games. We'd finish 11-1, could brag about how we beat a top-15 team and say our only loss was to the #1 team in the country. Maybe we should try that.

Anyone who thinks there are 10 teams in the country better than Richmond is living in fantasyland.

Let's see, a much better Montana team last year lost to Wofford in the first round at home, and then we went TO Wofford and beat them at their house by 11. You'll excuse me if I'm not terribly impressed with your conference, or your less-talented team this year.

EWU has laid an egg this year, and Northern Arizona is not going to make the playoffs. Weber may be legit, or maybe beating Montana just sounds good because everyone knows your name.

We've been tested against three top-10 teams already. I hope we come to Montana this year and end your season, assuming you make the playoffs, of course.
