Just saw the Dallas Cowboy kicker put a game tying FG through from 52 yards. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago N. Iowa had a kicker who beat Cal Poly on a 58 or 59 yard field goal on the last play of the game in SLO. I remember I was heading out, figuring the game was over when he did it. Shock! I seem to recall that he had excellent accuracy stats also. I thought he would have a very long pro career. Anyone remember the guy's name and what happened to him? xconfusedx xoopsx

His name is MacKenzie Hoambrecker.
He still holds some of the kicking records at UNI: Longest FG (59 yards vs. Southwest Mo. State, 2002) and that 2002 Cal Poly game has held up for records in FG attempts (6), and made FGs (5).

Mac kicked around (haha, bad pun) a few pro rosters, and in NFL Europe, but never really caught on anywhere.
