Weber only has 3 DI wins. NAU... maybe an error:D .

Even though Eastern and others are "eliminated" they could still make the playoffs if in some wacky way they were to win the Conference.

Can you get an autobid if you do not have 7 DI wins?

Yeah. Eastern could beat Weber, and NAU then have UM lose to NAU and if everything else held Eastern would get the auto.

I did say that but I probably should have put "At Large" in the title to avoid any confusion.

That is starting to sound like discussing the wildcard for the NFL playoffs in week 15.

Yeah I got it, but just wanted to make sure others saw how it worked.

Yes Lafayette won the PL autobid a couple years back at 6-5.

Chances are -- we won't be a two-bid conference unless McN or SHSU run the table and Bobcats lone loss is to SHSU.

Yeah. Eastern could beat Weber, and NAU then have UM lose to NAU and if everything else held Eastern would get the auto.Weber and NAU would have to lose more than just to EWU. Weber would have to lose to NAU and EWU, and then NAU would have to lose to EWU and someone else.

UM - 10-2 (6-2) with losses to Weber and NAU
NAU - 8-3 (6-2) With losses to EWU & someone else
WSU - 8-4 (6-2) With losses to EWU & NAU
EWU - 7-4 (6-2) with losses to UM and PSU

I guess in this situation, EWU would get the auto, and Montana may wind up with a seed...but it would really depend on the play of teams from other conferences...

The WSU - NAU game might come down to the BSC championship game. Plus, if PSU reaks some havoc, who knows what could happen. We may be looking at *gasp* 3 or 4 Big Sky playoff teams!! xrotatehx

Never a dull season in the Big Sky. xlolx

If my math is somehow wrong, someone please inform me! xlolx

Looks great thanks for keeping up with this each week...

You have us needing to go 3-3 to be eligible... but I bet we get in at no worse than 4-2 which I do think we can accomplish... win against WCU and UTC and split with GSU/FU/WC/EU and we are good at 8-4 IMO

Kudos to Elon. I'd say they are "closer" to the playoffs than any other FCS team. Anything worse than 8-4 for them at this point is just not likely. And 8-4 is if they lose to App, Wofford, and Liberty. Sure they will win at least one of those games.

How do you guys think the committee will judge teams who played only 11 games, in comparison to those who played 12?

Interesting question(s) that will probably have to be addressed by the selection committee.

Assuming 7 D-I wins, who goes when teams are matched up like this:

8-4 vs 7-4
7-4 vs 7-5
8-3 vs 7-4

And that is not counting the possibilities of teams that were affected by the hurricanes ending at 6-3 or 7-2 with only 6 D-I wins.

If the Citadel loses this weekend they're out. If GSU loses they are more than likely out. That would leave only 4 Socon teams eligible.

UMass has six games remaining, so its "must go" record should be 3-3, not 3-2.

UMass must go 3-2 because Bryant is a non-counter this year.

Ah, ok. Wasn't sure about that one. Good to know.
