I like that way we are controlling the line of scrimmage...running the ball well as well as stuffing the run on D

Congrats to El Cid. WCU still has a long way to go. Hopefully, we beat Samford and get to 3-3 which would be HUGE considering the last 2 years. Briggs SERIOUSLY ran this program into the ground.

GO CATAMOUNTS!!!

I thought that Western's schemes and coaching was not bad today. But El Cid had more speed. WCU was unable to run the ball at all(76 total rushing yards). It looked to me that was El Cids plan, going man on man in the secondary all day and stacking the box to stop the run. Western's QB missed a ton of open receivers. El Cid may be in trouble against a more accurate thrower.

I cannot wait to go to Boone next week and show that we have arrived. Go Dogs! This is turning into a matchup between two top 10 teams if we jump another 3 spots in the poll after this win.

I saw several open receivers for WCU. That being said, they were outside of their routes. I think that the WCU QB was having some trouble on timed routes because the catchers weren't where they were supposed to be.

Looking at our coverage, I was impressed with our secondary, much more so than I was a couple weeks ago against Clempson.

Our offense and defense were VERY sloppy, and in spite of that, we ran up over 500 yards total offense while holding WCU to about 200.

Woe be to the SoCon if we ever put together a well-executed game.

Our d-line seemed to be keeping up the pressure against WCU's QB. There was more than on instance where he was just barely able to get a pass off before being plowed. He also seemed to home in on his taller guys, who might not neccesarilly be open.

I was impressed with how our running game seems to have improved in just a couple of weeks. I think we have something special in Asheton Jordan. Little if anything needs to be said of the greatness of Andre Roberts. I know the stats say otherwise, but watching our d vs WCUs running game I was still a little worried about how we're going to handle Furman, Wofford and now apparently Elon. Pretty good game overall.
