WWU gets pumped up for the big games. They gave UND all we wanted last year out west. The problem is they don't play with that intensity against teams of lower quality.

Hats off to Western Washington. Their QB was on, and our defense didn't apply much pressure tonight. It's hard to tell whether they exposed a weakness or we came out flat after a bye week.

In any event, I sincerely apologize for the 21 point win. ;)

Apparently we play up (or down in this case) to the level of competition. We give Tech and Colorado all they can handle, then take a week off and don't respect WWU and that's what happens. Here's a joke... (literally).

We were a joke tonight... at least on D. WWU QB picked us apart 8 yards at a time. I hope Baldwin rips into them hard... we have to play better than that if we're going to run the table in the Sky this year.

You guys are probably sounding like Texas Tech and Colorado fans sounded after their teams were "embarassed" by having Eastern Washington play them respectably. You might not be giving Western Washington enough credit. I don't think there's as much difference, on average, between Division II and FCS as there is between FCS and the BCS leagues.

Before this game I told you guys to recall that Montana State was beaten by a D-II (Chadron State) just a week after the Bobcats upset Colorado in 2006. In 2003 Florida Atlantic, which went on to be a I-AA semifinalist, got all fired up because it beat I-A Middle Tennessee. The next week Division II Valdosta State pummeled the I-AA Owls 45-17.

I'm always kind of amused at the way FCS fans note that some of their teams don't get any respect from FBS fans then turn right around and disrespect D-II teams...even though top I-AA/FCS teams getting beaten by D-IIs is a whole lot more common than top I-A/FBS teams getting beaten by I-AA/FCS teams.
