Well, I could see WIU going to SFA and struggling a bit but bisonbacker WIU hosts SFA. That makes a huge difference....WIU by 24 over SFA.

WIU is not a juggernaut offense. They are also not a top 3 team in the mvfc. the point spread on that game will indicate nothing.

I agree completely. I just don't know where to go on this one. SDSU's previous two teams have not been nearly as good as this one and they played you tough both times (last year you pulled away during the second half and made it not so close). But UNI has had two weeks and SDSU got a bit nicked up this week. I know this, I want to see this game.

I have a lot of love and respect for the Jacks. I feel completely different about the XDSU's than any of the other teams in our conference, outside of maybe SIU.

I think it will be a good game, but I honestly wouldn't be that suprised if either team stomped the other.

UNI over SDSU - UNI is disgusting at home. Good luck SDSU.
NDSU over YSU -- Who did YSU's scheduling? Jesus.
N. Ill over Indiana St. -- NIU has been getting better...and it's InSU.
SEMO over Mo. State -- This will probably be the toughest loss of the season for the Bears.
Western Ill. over Stephen F. Austin -- No contest.
IlSU over EIU -- Close call, not really sure.

Hopefully I can find a feed of the SDSU/UNI game, because it's going to be amazing.

This is really starting to baffle me! I really don't know where in the world you guys are getting this from.

Also, most embarassing???? I don't think anything can trump losing to a D2 buyout team at home.

Yeah I agree... This is the least confidence I've seen from a Bears team in quite a while.

If it's sunny on Saturday, this will be our first dry game all season and that has got to help our offense.

Re-read. Didn't say most embarrassing.

If it happens, it will be worse than Washburn, because Mo State needs this win more. A loss early in the season can be overcome if the rest of the season turns out how it should. A loss to SEMO would be heartbreaking for an already down squad.

PRob82 - I think we will find out this weekend if this is a Panther team looking to make a run at the conference or national championship...or retooling for next year. Coach Farley seems (to me, anyway) to take off every other year to prepare for the next.

If this team is not ready to make a legitimate run at the conference championship this year...I expect to see UNI willing to "throw away" this game to get some players experience.

Otherwise, I expect a game that has overtime written all over it.

I know everyone here wants to throw YSU under the bus and hand this next game to NDSU, but not so fast. YSU still has a lot of pride and winning at YSU is never easy. I think this game will be closer than many think. I'm really interested in seeing this game. This will be a good gauge between how good NDSU is, how good SDSU is and how bad YSU is. I personally don't think YSU is as bad as everyone thinks. I think they had a bad day and will rebound by playing at home.

Good Luck 'Guinsxthumbsupx

It certainly won't hurt YSU that our two starting RB's are out, one possibly playing but doubtful. So we have our 3rd & 4th Stringers at RB in and will have to win it that way. I hope Coach Bohl rests Tyler and we should still be fine. We may be missing our two starting RB's but our defense is still solid and offensively if we don't have the turnovers this won't be a close game. You may want to play up the YSU win for the Bunnies but we will surely find out this weekend how they fair against our defense. To me that will be the real test, we should win this one but it may not be the type of win SDSU had at home with them. On the other hand you take out SDSU's starting two RB's and play YSU at home I doubt SDSU blows out YSU like they did at home.

I think NDSU created a few more, although I would not worry. YSU played the way they are capable of playing ...can they keep it up is the question in NE Ohio. Also, WIU is good team this year ... along with UNI, traditionally the powerhouses of the conference. It was only a matter of time before they came back ...as if SFA even had a chance. Also, I think you might have confused ILS with ISU. Even though EIU won that game, I would have never chosen them to win ...especially "in a blowout". Look at EIU's play-off history in the last 5 years & who knocked them out three times. Also, look up EIU's conference membership history & their chief rival. They are an original GFC member & it's not Western. Lot's of history there. Thanks for starting the thread. It is nice to have new blood stir-up the conference fan-base.
