Thats simple to say but when they go 4 WR set its not that easy... Their offense makes it hard to change D packages therefore there will be a chance for a missmatch every play... UNH is playing very well... Our offense is moving the ball well but we just arent punching it into the endzone...

Im not sure what call or calls you are talking about but the one I noticed was a no call when UNH late hit coen... they called it on UMass but not UNH so I dont understand that... as for the grounding call which I assume you mean... it was grounding in my eyes as he was just throwing the ball away... he got lucky his rb ran into the area and that is the only reason it was questionable. Should be an interesting second half... UMass will need some turnovers in order to win. I cant see us winning without turnovers.

McCoy always runs out there as a "safety play" so Santos knew he was out there, he wasnt just simply throwing it away. Santos doesnt just throw the ball away.

He was throwing to an area not a player... McCoy ran to that area when he say santos throwing there... Santos was under high pressure on that last drive... If that continues then hes going to be one hurting QB soon.

I know, and I was exaggerating somewhat, but I really do think Ball merits at least your best corner no matter where he is on the field, plus help to his side in that situation. Tough half for UMass, it certainly didn't seem like they should be down 10, but those long drives not producing points really hurts

Maybe I should have said all teams? (Meaning WM, Richmond, NH, Mass) :)

If UNH wins out only Richmond and W&M can tie them for a shared conference championship, should W&M win out they would be ahead of UNH by virtue of their head to head win, obviously if W&M wins out Richmond would have suffered there second loss in conference. That said I see W%M beating Richmond but losing to James Madison. UNH faces a good challenge next week vs Hofstra but I expect UNH to win. That leaves a weak Iona and Maine teams for UNH.

Heres how i think it will finish out for the 4 teams with 1 loss.

UNH (7-1), RIchmond (6-2) William & Mary (6-2) Massachusetts (7-1)

Atlantic 10 Standings
Northern Division Conf All
Massachusetts (6) 5-0 6-1
New Hampshire (4) 4-1 6-1
Hofstra 2-2 4-3
Rhode Island 2-3 4-4
Northeastern 1-4 1-6
Maine 0-4 2-5
Southern Division Conf All
Richmond 4-1 4-3
William & Mary (8) 3-1 5-2
James Madison (17) 2-2 4-3

I guess I thought W&M was dismissed too early, but
a probable loss at VU makes that wrong. :(

Just back from the game. Great game. Well played by both teams. Tough loss for UMass. UNH was the better team today. Congrats to the Wildcats on a huge win. UMass had 2 problems: too many penalties and too much Santos. Good luck the rest of the way UNH fans.

UNH should be #1. They are obviously much improved over the team that got beat by Bill & Mary. Santos is the best 1AA qb I have seen in many years, he has all the skills and very good field awareness.

Great game by UMass today...they're a solid team but like I've said all along my Cats are for real. Not to take anything away from Bill & Mary but we were not ourselves against them and the weather was a factor. Hopefully this game will put us back at #1 where we belong. I hope the sportswriters across I-AA watched so they could see that this team is special and led with special kids on both sides of the ball.

vs. UMass's "All-World Secondary"
Santos for Heisman (4TD's), Ball for Payton (199yds 4TD's), Flenory for Buchanon (16tkls)

Just back from the game (took the long way home).

Congrats to UNH. They are my pick for the National Champions. The Wildcats are just a excellent team.

That said, it was a great I-AA game. UMass certainly had chances. We had 529 yards of offense and 34 first downs. We missed our field goal attempt and UNH hit theirs. We had a long touchdown run called back on a motion penalty. And we were still in the game in the last minute..

I'm sorry we came out on the short end of score, but I enjoyed the game.
