#70 vs. #2 coming to you primetime on 8/30....
Almost makes it a COMPLETE non-event. Just give us the L and a check and we'll be healthy for the rest of our games.

The only team UND is not ahead of in their schedule is S. Illinois 89 and Cal-Davis 134. We play them both on the road, should be a great test for the Sioux. Hope we can win at least 1 of those games.

So according to these ratings the FCS only would be...

1. App. State
2. UMass
3. NDSU
4. UNI
5. JMU
6. SIU
7. Montana
8. UNH
9. Delaware
10. Richmond

It will be interesting to keep an eye on how these change over the year. I too question how he can have statistics before the season even starts.

But hey....5 CAA teams in the top 10 xnodx xbowx

darell1976
August 22nd, 2008, 10:36 AM
I don't think i would have UMASS ahead of NDSU. I see NDSU at 10 just kidding, i would put them at a 2 to start and maybe a NDSU/App St national title game.

If the fourth place team in one conference (Hampton) beats the fourth place team in another conference (Princeton) by 21 points, then how is the that conference considered stronger than the previous conference?

darell1976
August 22nd, 2008, 12:34 PM
with the Great West #5 they must show a lot of respect for a conference with 2 teams joining from Division 2 and 1 team that went winless last year.

So at 137 to start the year ain't bad but playing 4 d2 teams won't increase that number much. But hopefully year 2's schedule will produce less D2 and more D1 teams of course with Texas Tech on the schedule that should help if they produce a miracle and win in Lubbock.

You can't play that one-on-one game in a list of 245 teams; unless you're undefeated there will always be a chain where some team who beat you lost to somebody who lost to SHSU.

True. But I was looking at just the conference. But then again I guess when we make our statement this year that will all be moot. Speaking of moo...hey UC Davis, how does your team look this year?

I'm kinda curious as to how they come up with this preseason. S. Illinois where they're at puzzles me.

Given that UD won by a field goal at SIU, I can only guess that they think Flacco and Cuff were a bigger loss to UD than Hill and Randle were to SIU?
I will predict that barring a wave of bad injuries SIU will be noticeably faster on defense this year.

Randle isn't that big of a loss for SIU when you have three guys waiting in the wings who all averaged 4.6 yds/carry or more last year. The real question for the Salukis will be at QB.

Thanks Poly51, we get tired of reminding people of who we are. But for the new fans it is one of these. UCD, UC Davis, or University of California, Davis. Anything else is incorrect.

How do we look this year. Well, offensively we should be much better. Our receivers are healthy, a new QB, who if he lives up to anything close to his billing, we'll do very well. At RB we still have Trombetta who looks bigger and faster, along with additional speed coming from redshirts. Defensively, we'll see. We should be better, but until the first game I cannot say.
