I apologize if this has already been discussed ad nauseam on this board, but are we going to be having 13 weeks of regular season from now on rather than 12? Or is this just for this season?

I don't know. You could always make the last Saturday in August the first week, have 12 more weeks, and finish the national championship before Christmas.

We just happen to have 13 weeks between the Saturday before Labor day and the Saturday before T-Giving this year.

I think that happens 2 or 3 ties every 8 or 9 years.

teams will love it when it happens in the future since they lose the bye week when the playoff expanison starts
