On Arnold: Senior punter who improved in spring football after a tough end to his first season at UMass in 2007 ... Has made great strides with catching punts from center ... Working on being more consistent on a punt-to-punt basis ... Junior college star who won the starting job last fall ... Outstanding leg ... Comes off solid career in junior college.

Brett is also the only player on our roster listed as a kicker, which would mean he'd be replacing Chris Koepplin who holds most of the UMass single-season kicking records.
