As the season approaches, I need to get my but in in potato shape. For me, Aug. 28th, Thursday, I will be watching the UConn/Hofstra game at 7:30pm. Should be a local Connecticut/NY feed. A local Connecticut channel is in scheduling to pick up this game. Hopefully SNY may pick up the feed for other markets in the country. JSU/Georgia Tech will be on ESPN 360.com as well. I will have my computer up and the tv on for both games. I will also have to check out CharlestonSouthern/Miami on ESPN360.com every once in a while. What a treat for CS to play in Pro Player stadium.

For Saturday, Aug 30th, hopefully will be in full potato gear. Maine/Iowa, YSU/Ohio State, Coastal Carolina/Penn State all at 12 noon on the Big Ten network channels. Towson/Navy at 3.30 on CSTV, Villanova/West Virginia on ESPN regional @ 3:30, Delaware/Maryland on ESPNU at 3:45, Appalachian/LSU at 4 on ESPN. Northern Iowa/BYU and Georgia Southern/Georgia looks like they will be on local TV.

Our Minutemen take on Albany at 6pm, no tv though. Not going to this game, but will have it on radio or maybe through the computer via UMass athletics.

So many good games on TV and great exposure for FCS. Thank god for channel in channel boxes. It is going to be a work out flipping channels, got to get in shape. Maybe I'll move my computer screen next to the HDTV. If I missed any games, please post'em for this thread.

Can Aug 28 and Aug 30 get here soon enough?

I'll be doing SHSU-East Central Oklahoma on Aug 28. Not the most attractive game, but it's my team and there's a lot of question marks that need a test-run, got to see how that goes.

Then, the Big Ten Network is going to get a lot of TV time in this household. The wife is a Maryland fan, so we'll move over to the Blue Hens vs Terps in the "second window" though, I'll be checking Appy State-LSU.

Night cap is finding a way to take in McNeese vs No Carolina...

Ah, love talking the football!

I've been blessed over the years in that it doesn't take me long at all to get into "potato shape." A few cold ones, some pizza, fries...a few days of total inactivity and I'm good to go!!!

I've tried to get a big thread started about this for the whole season:

http://www.anygivensaturday.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44434

My efforts will live here:

http://www.championshipsubdivisionnews.com/?title=the-complete-fcs-composite-tv-schedule&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

And FYI, this is what I have for that day. If you know for sure the UConn/Hofstra game will be televised, I'll add it to the list.

% means on ESPN 360 which is available online free to Verizon customers and maybe some others.

# means available (I believe) on CSTV XXL online for a fee.

Someone mentioned on the NU website that the NU-Ball State game was going to be on cable out there - but I can't see anyone outside of Greater Indianapolis seeing that game, or the feed being picked up by DirecTV or ESPN - but you never know.

I'm still trying to figure out how the PC/Wofford game did not get the CSS spot. No offense to furman or mars hill, but i think that the PC/Wofford game would've drawn more a Tv audience. I could be wrong though

Official: Hofstra & Uconn will be on SNY. SNY is picked up by DirectTV and brings the Hofstra game to the at least the New England area. Enjoy the game.

Yes, it will be on SNY. It will also air on WTNH in Connecticut on free TV if you get that (that's how I reported the game - since games show up on local stations as well as cable affiliates, I am currently trying to report them as only the local production.

I also updated the schedule with a new one, airing on FCS-Central on Thursday:

Now the question is, which game do I record? I will be at the Delaware game, so I will have just seen it, but I do love having Hen games on tape. I really want to see the AppSt game though. xoopsx

I dont want to go go through and read the whole thread.

I know there was a thread about that game on TV a few weeks ago.

Right now the GSU/UGA game is listed as "pay per view" on both the GSU and UGA websites, and nothing else has been announced since. I'm waiting for that game to be announced officially before posting anything.

As for 89Hen, I'm having a crisis as well deciding which game(s) to tape/archive too... :P I do know Nova/W Va is high on my viewing list... if not on TV, online.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain that it will be only 'Pay Per View' and nothing more, but at least I'll be attending the game myself.
