From MontanaGrizzlies.com:

About the No. 37
Grizzly football jersey No. 37 began its Legacy in the mid-80's when it was worn by fullback Kraig Paulson, who is now Montana’s defensive coordinator.

Since 1986 the player who wore the No. 37 passed it down to a younger player of his choice, with the only criteria, that player must hail from the state of Montana.

That Legacy time line: Paulson (1983-86, from Plentywood), defensive back Tim Hauck (1987-89, from Big Timber), safety Todd Ericson (1990-93 from Butte), linebacker Jason Crebo (1994-97 from Helena), defensive end Andy Petek (1997-2000, from Helena), defensive end Ciche Pitcher (2000-01 and 2003, from Anaconda), and current linebacker Loren Utterback (2004-present, from Fort Benton).

Carson Bender was selected as the new recipient of the #37 jersey.

Not being able to walk for 4 months after being struck by a car gives you patience.xwhistlex
