Oct. 1 Open
Oct. 8 LEHIGH
Oct. 15 CORNELL
Oct. 22 at Georgetown
Oct. 29 at Lafayette
Nov. 5 FORDHAM

These are, I'd imagine, still subject to change. It happens from time to time. The usual assortment of Ivies, some NEC/Big South teams, and then big conference games with Furman (2010) and Towson (2011). We finally seem to have a better deal with Cornell, getting 2 of these 3 at home xnodx

We're also scheduled to play Air Force in 2013 (http://www.gocolgateraiders.com/news/football/2006/9/5/football952006.asp?path=football)

Georgetown gets Howard, Old Dominion, Yale, and Davidson from 2009-11, with Richmond back on in 2012.

At least for the time being, it's more CAA, less Ivy.

I think we pick up Norteastern in 2009 at Stonybrook and at Northeastern in 2010. Just found out tonight we are at Buffalo in 2011. I know we have and FBS opponent in 2009 and 2010 also. I think we have home game against U Mass in 2010 also.
I really like the way Colgate maps out their future schedules-makes lfe easier. Good job !

I don't think Stony Brook plays NU in 2009.

Here's NU 2009 OOC schedule..

Youngstown (I'll bet they bail on us)
Holy Cross
@ Boston College

I'm not sure about 2010 and after other than UConn.

I heard a rumor that we're doing another home/home with Holy Cross that starts in '10 or '11. Our former AD told me we were trying to do something with SBU and UA for '10 and '11, and Colgate for '11 and '12, but with the rumors of NU dropping football last winter, I'm not sure schools were lining up to play us.

Our former AD told me we were trying to do something with SBU and UA for '10 and '11, and Colgate for '11 and '12,

I remember hearing that too

I wouldn't be opposed to a CAA-North team

Our schedules certainly aren't set in stone, though the only teams I could see dropping from them are Albany and Stony Brook (mostly SB) if they were to get good offers from other schools (like maybe an FBS date for SB). 2012 is certainly a real possibility, I think

Hopefully the new AD will limit us to just one per year.

After playing cross sectional games against Youngstown, NDSU, Cal Davis, Georgia Southern, etc. recently, NU decided that it's OOC games should have more of a regional flavor - and we'll likely look to the PL and NEC for games. We're still hoping that Harvard will see the benefit of getting an extra home game every other year and sign another 4 year deal with us. We've also made overtures to Dartmouth, Brown, and Yale and were told "thanks, don't call us, we'll call you."

I think the plan for the near future is to have as few "airplane" OOC FCS games as possible, and we can do that by playing Colgate, Fordham, CCSU, Albany, SBU, etc.

More of the same for Lafayette. Four Ivys in 2009 and again in 2010. Penn and Columbia are the regulars, with Harvard, Yale and Princeton alternating the other two spots. That leaves one open spot and it seems to be reserved for a cupcake "scrimmage" such as Marist or Sacred Heart. The Liberty bloggers say that this year's game @ Lynchburg is part of a home and home that will be replayed in 2009. No confirmation yet from the folks in Easton. Gotta sneak into the AD's office and change his speed dial.

Sept. 2: Quincy
Sept. 11: at Illinois
Sept. 18: SEMO

I know this has been a point of contention among Fordham fans, e.g., associate members (Fordham, Georgetown) get only one Ivy game a year going forward, while others are getting three and four as a matter of course. I suspect it's more of an issue with the Ivy schools than the other way around, but it's a problem the PL leadership does not seem interested in.

I'm not tuned in to the politics at work here, but personally I am willing to donate an Ivy game or two to the aforementioned associate members, in the interest of bringing more diverse scheduling to College Hill.

While on this topic, not having Fordham vs. Columbia as an annual event is lunacy.

We've got Georgia Tech in 2009,

...Clemson will whip us all the way to the bank though! Gotta love those guarantee checks! xthumbsupx

P.S.: Last win against Clemson came in 1941. I think the score was 13-10 or 14-13 or something like that. Thing is, PC only had 200 students then.

I am not sure exactly what the Spiders OOC schedule looks like. I know that in general out FBS schedule is pretty full, and I imagine that we host Elon next season. I am not sure if this years game with Georgetown is a one year thing, or will become a series. VMI should stay on our schedule for the forseeable future. So in 11 game years we only have one spot to fill, with an FBS and VMI filling the other spots. Here are UR's FBS opponents for the next 7 years, with only one year to fill. I am pulling for Wake Forest to fill that spot in 2013

2010 - Huskers, @ Delaware, & (Poly/Davis?)
2011 - Illini, @ Delaware & (Poly/Davis?)
2012 - Iowa St., Delaware & ????

Add the FBS dates to eight annual Gateway Football Conference games and a three-year deal with Delaware and the Jacks are all but booked until 2013. Peterson said that he has verbal agreements in place for the lone remaining open dates in 2010 and 2011 and should have the 2012 schedule all but finalized by January.

I like SDSU nonconference schedule. Given that most of this was done when SDSU was a part of GWFC, now that they are in the MVF are they going to continue to schedule this way or are they going to tone down the competition in non conference and try and make it into the playoffs.

Nice 2009 schedule, especially only having one FBS opponent, plus six home games. I think we'll ruffle some feathers this year, but '09 should be our year to make a playoff push, or at least a strong run at a top two or three finish in the Southland.

Shoot, I can't remember now. Hen fans help. I know we have three upcoming with South Dakota State (2 home, 1 away) and I think two with Navy on the books, the second half of the h/h with Furman and possibly the last game with West Chester in 2009. xeekx

So 2009 is maybe:
Furman
South Dakota State
West Chester
@ Navy

xconfusedx xeyebrowx

Is 2009 a 12 game season? I thought it was an 11.

Jacks and BlueHens are playing in 10, 11, and 12, if I remember correctly.
That would seem to make sense as 2009 is not a 12 game and I know the Hens have Furman, WCUPA and @ Navy.

I would bet anything ND and SD will not both be at home for you in 2009... I seriously doubt the Great West will make you guys travel to the Dakotas twice a year every other year. I know you got UC Davis and Southern Utah at home this year but once the full scheduling of the teams in 2009 starts they will revamp the schedule so either Davis or Utah will be visiting you guys for back to back years.

We shall see. USD had a release that said that they would be @ Cal Poly again 2009. Southern Utah is actually a tougher road trip than going to the Dakotas. Southern Utah is a 14 hour two day bus ride, the Dakotas are chartered flights.

NDSU has as OOC opponents:

2009

At Iowa State
At Sam Houston State
GEORGIA SOUTHERN (???)

Georgia Southern will either come to Fargo in 2009 or 2010, forgot which one.

Rabbits have GaSouthern at Brookings 9/12/09. However, that's from prior to Samford joining SoCon. So doubt seriously that Eagles will fly twice to the Dakotas in the same season.

Me too. Now that I have a job with money flowing in I would love a trip to SLO.

Home Away
Iona Colgate
Brown Hofstra
Liberty Charleston Southern
Coastal Carolina VMI
PC * Gardiner-Webb

* The Big South AD's and coaches voted to have us play PC in 2009 rather than 2010 which is ok. Give's us 6 conference games. Curious
to see who will be our 11th game and where. I would like to see another CAA team or Southern Conference team on there and at home .

2009 Duke
2010 Virginia
2011 Duke
2012 Virginia
2013 TBA
2014 Virginia
2015 Vanderbilt

I thought Elon was the home opener in 2010 for the on campus stadium?

It looks like Harvard will finally have a couple of open dates coming up in a few years. The Crimson will have the same OOC schedule in '09 and '10 as it has for the past three years, but Lehigh drops off in '11, and both Holy Cross and Lehigh are off in '12. Lafayette remains on the books. Maybe we can rekindle the old UMass or Northeastern rivalries, or do something even bolder by scheduling a SoCon team!xnodx

Either one would be great! And, given the early-season open dates, we wouldn't have to play in Orono in November, either!:p

I would love to get a NEC team back on the schedule. Im sure Albany wouldnt mind a trip to Long Island . Not sure why we have Iona this year and next other than a quick D-1 win and help fill their Indy schedule.
Wouldnt mind getting something started with Fordham either. A Fordham game would draw alot of fans .

Actually everyone is laughing. Getting pounded by TT will do nothing for recruiting. xbowx

Why do you think the Sioux will get pounded?? App State beat Michigan, A D3 team beat S. Dakota State, and NDSU beat Wisconsin in basketball, don't write them off just yet.xnonox

UND will be facing a very senior-laden Texas Tech squad (if they stick around) and this is a school with a coach that loves to run up the score. He is classless...

Dang, you have JMU coming to your place? That's pretty nice. We went there twice in the the 90"s when we were moving from d 2 to 1aa and they never did come to our place. Maybe sometime in the future. That's sweet for you though.xnodx xthumbsupx

You will get pounded!! The degree of pounding is the question so just try and keep the spread to less than 50 points. xnodx

Liberty-JMU is a four-year series that was supposed to begin this year in Harrisonburg, but was moved back at JMU's request (scheduling conflict, I assume). 2009 and 2011 in Lynchburg, 2010 and 2012 in Harrisonburg.

Texas Tech? Is UND even at Scholarship counter? How did they jump fron 36 to 63 in one season. That is crazy. That might be a rough schedule, you only have 1 DI win this season against Idaho St. Nice schedule though.
