It's a good fit. JSU needs a QB, QB needs a school. Emphasis on "need" in both instances.

No matter where he ends up, the result will probably be similar to what he did at LSU. Hopefully he will come around but he showed no remorse or progress from any of his mis-deeds with the Tigers.

My guess would be one and done. Act good for one year and go to the NFL. Not sure if he is NFL QB but I bet he thinks he is.

Not only that but I'd think, based on his history to this point, he won't demonstrate the discipline necessary to pass college courses.

I think the kid will be at Jax soon.

If he does suit up in JSU red, I suspect record-setting attendance may be in the offing for our first home game Sept. 6. We'll have a big-draw opponent in town in Alabama A&M, and a fallen star from what most in our neck of the woods consider to be the astral plane of football, the SEC.

If he comes, I hope he manages to keep his nose clean in Calhoun County. If not, I at least hope the school, community and team can shine in the minor spotlight that will be on us while he's here.

ESPN just mentioned that over 25 FCS schools had contacted RP about playing for them, any ideas on who that might have been.
