Thought UNH got a 1st down on their first play then went three and out???? I'm watching the Delaware-Hofstra game at the same time so I may have missed the details.

Muddy conditions in Newark. HU just broke the ice with a 48 yard FG.

WM 21-0. Nine yard TD pass. If any team can come back its UNH. I'm not comfortable.

Tribe scores again, up 21-0 just into the 2nd Quarter.

Here's a bizarre stat -- only Santos and McCoy touched the ball for UNH in the 1st Qtr.! Finally Ball gets a couple of catches!!

weather is not an excuse, of course.....you are right

A complete embarrassment for UNH.

Who pissed in your Cherrios this morning?

Geez, as much as you hate to acknowledge it, W&M is a VERY good team and they are playing extremely well today. I've said multiple times this week that W&M is the toughest A-10 opponent for UNH.

Its all about match-ups MJ. WM played falt on the road and doesn't match-up well against the triple option for some reason. We defintely match up better against UNH.

Nice win for W&M, now I don't feel so bad about having them in my top 25, I really thought UNH was going to win fairly easily today,

Who's Number 1 now?

Congrats Tribe. I've bad-mouthed you since watching the URI debacle. Now that game makes no sense.

URI game was bad to be sure, but alot of things combined IMO for an uncharacteristic performance.

1) We played flat and uninspired
2) We did not have a good gameplan for th option
3) We are down three LBs, but the young guys are gaining experience
4) Third road game in a row to start the season

No excuses, URI outplayed us for three quarters and deserved the win. I'm not saying we won't lose another game this year, but you won't see another performance like URI from this team. There palying with a sense of urgency now. We have a colid running game and a feature TB for the first time in years. The passing game will get better as the season progresses under a first year QB. We have the receivers and the OL is doing a great job protecting the QB. Special teams have been just that. We have the best kicking tandem in the league.

1) Uhmm, I don't think that was a problem Saturday. Talk about a mirror opposite!!
2) Remember this well if Ga Southern is in your future, especially if you travel to Statesboro.

We have the best kicking tandem in the league.

You're not kidding!! Greg Kuehn wins the WM-UNH game last year with three FGs in that monsoon. This year your punter booms two punts in the first half to pin UNH deep when it appeared they'd get good field position. Sorry, I didn't look up his name before replying.

Actually, the Hofstra punter was impressive as well in the Newark muck, but I can't recall that much about their placekicker. All I'm saying is that against UNH, WM has the best kicking tandem!

Something I found intriguing about the game was how both teams handled a third and one situation in the second quarter. I think UNH had cut the WM lead to 21-7 and was driving. At any rate they were deep in Tribe territory. Santos runs two QB keepers and comes up short. I think WM was on their drive which netted their 4th TD. They threw a 44 yd. bomb for the first down. JL even commented that "he had a contract" which allowed him to throw in that situation. Two QB keepers was very conservative play calling for UNH and surprised me at the time.

I didn't listen to much of the 2nd half at all because I was getting ready for work, but I was surprised when I saw the stats that UNH had over 400 yards of offense. Definitely a meaningless statistic, but the number surprised me after the first half I listened to.

I was surprised by the passing yardage as well. UNH moved out from deep in their own territory a few times, and I think that's where alot of it came from.

I remember thinking the same thing at the time. Loved the bomb on third and one in four down territory. The kinda call you can make with a lead. UNH did not delve very deep into the playbook from what I could gather via the radio broadcast.
