How was the atmosphere in Normal Ralph, DJ is in his 5th yr and is getting absolutely no support from the students period. Everyone is calling for his head now, but I can see this team finishing 6-5 7-4 with a couple of breaks. Rembert and Thompson will be a tough duo to contain!!! Did you notice anything nice out of Ramon Barber at CB. He was moved from WR and that decision has caused a lot of grumbling in Redbird Nation (Not me, I really like the move). Did DJ give any indications (if you talked to him) that he is really on the hot seat this yr?

I talked to a lot of parents (the majority of the crowd) and I did ask them about Denver. Every last one of them were grateful for his handling of their kids. Of course, as I wrote on the Redbird board, a coach is ultimately measured in wins in I-AA. I didn't broach the subject with DJ himself. Barber looked in his element and did well. Media I spoke with seem to think DJ is NOT on the hot seat. However, not finishing higher than third in the GFC must be a crime if you listen to the boobirds. I don't think its outrageous to expect a 3-1 ILS before the GFC schedule.

I can easily see 3-1 W's over Drake, EIU, and Murray St with the Loss at Iowa St. Everyone still compares him to Berrys 99 team and thats where the anger comes from!!! Redbird fans are living in the past and will not let DJ forget Berrys good team! When you going for a game, Ill have to make sure that weekend is free!!!
