The Citadel will be lucky to keep all their opponent's starting squads on the field after halftime.

You must be forgetting that Bobby "Go 4 Two" Lamb is still the coach.

here we go again, another Bobby Lamb posting war.

Before it starts. He's the coach. We like him. He graduates players and he wins.

Discussion over.

I look at Furman's team and it just screams "throw the ball." The great thing is every back and TE can catch on that roster. Even at fullback, Kendall has had game winning catches in 2006 against JSU and 2007 against GSU.

Long may he stay at Furman!

I plan to do a defensive breakdown for Furman tonight. Since Bobby has been brought up again let’s do some stats and facts for Bobby Lamb.
Head Coaching record overall 49-24 (6yrs)
Against SoCon Schools 31-13 (6yrs)
Playoff Coaching Record 3-4 (1-3 on the road)
Furman finished the season with three straight SoCon wins (Elon 52-49, GSU 24-22, WCU 52-21)

Off-Season moves
Furman has changed from a 4-3 to a 4-2-5 defense. This also reflects in a recruiting shift, as Furman offered a record number of defensive backs. Signing 3 corners and 2 safeties. Numbers are just part of the picture, the players also reflect a different profile from past personnel. Corner emphasis was on speed and size (room to grow). As I was told most of the time in high school your best athlete’s play many positions QB, RB, WR Furman has had success with this in the past Cam Newton and Issac Johnson at S.

Offensively Furman appears to focusing on physical fluid offensive lineman, a mix of speed, power runners that can run between the tackles, play in the slot and catch the ball. The match problem for Furman opponents; the size and height of Furman’s receivers and tightends. Furman now has 6 players 6-2 or taller at those positions.
