I thought it seemed like a Daktoa-esque type of schedule. I agree with PantherRob that it could be a good season for the Salukis. Though he may be sandbagging the Northern Iowa pick.

There is no doubt about it, UNI will lose to SIU this year. This is as certain as UNI beating SIU next year. We will just have to take it out on Youngstown like we do every year.

8/11 games for SIU played within the state of Illinois; looks like a great schedule!

Until we win down there, that is my pick. :)

Exactly. I will also pick us to win over YSU until proven otherwise. :D

Nice schedule. I like that you're playing 3 of the 4 Dakota schools. They are tough. It will be interesting to see how UND holds up in Carbondale.

I'd take Macomb over Carbondale any day.

xthumbsupx

Whats worse for the 'Cats than Jerry Kill calling plays for SIU could be former UND coach Dale Lennon who torched us in the Dome in 06.

and would it be difficult for Saluki fans to get tickets to the game???

No.

Unless it's homecoming, or a playoff game, my parents have always been able to go up to the ticket box at game time and get tickets without a problem.

ISU being our last game, and in Normal no less, makes me sad.

I am glad to see the annual "Thursday Thumping of some terrible Div II team" game is gone.

Bears will not be handled easily by anyone this year other than Oklahoma State.

They should, but MSU gets up for us and I think that they're placed where we could have an emotional let down.

Good schedule, but definitely very tough way to start the season. Playing FBS, then UNI and NDSU back to back to back, we'll see early how the players are responding to a new coaching staff.

Tickets go on sale 08/01/2008 at 8:00 AM. I would get tickets as soon as possible because that game is homecoming and also the return of an old rival head coach. That game may be an attendance record setter.

Expecting Hampton to be a walk? xeyebrowx

Nice schedule, but you might regret having some of those tough games if they end up as losses.
