3) Cal Poly (4)
4) Montana (5)
5) Western Kentucky (6)
6) Northern Iowa (7)
7) Furhman (8)
8) James Madison (9)
9) Massachusetts (11)
10) Delaware (3)
11) Lehigh (12)
12) Eastern Washington (14)
13) North Dakota State (15)
14) Appalachian State (16)
15) Western Carolina (10)
16) Coastal Carolina (18)
17) Hampton (NR)
18) UC Davis (21)
19) Texas State (NR)
20) Montana State (NR)
21) Georgia Southern (25)
22) Youngstown State (NR)
23) Portland State (13)
24) McNeese State (24)
25) Princeton (NR)

Dropped out: Sam Houston State (hard to rank a team we know very little about), Idaho State (still think they're the darkhorse in BSC), Hofstra (bad, bad loss), Illinois State (pretender), Harvard (no longer #1).

I can actually see Princeton being in the top 25. At this point actually seeing the Ivy League i think there are 4 potential 25 teams, Harvard, Penn, Brown and Princeton. Princeton has an impressive win against Lafeyette. If Princeton beats Colgate and moves to 4-0 i think they might have something brewing in Tiger land.

OK, HenHouse1, here's the first shot across the bow for us unofficial voters:

1) New Hampshire (1)
2) Southern Illinois (2)
3) Western Kentucky
4) Montana (5) I would love to move UM but when you start ranked high (over ratted or not...until they loose cant move them
5) Cal Poly - have to watch out with Davis, NDSU, Montana and even Idaho St still to come...cant afford to split these games.
6) Northern Iowa (7)
7) Furhman (8)
8) Hampton (NR)
9) Massachusetts (11)
10) Delaware (3)
11) North Dakota State
12) Texas State
13) Lehigh
14) Appalachian State (16)
15) Western Carolina (10)
16) Coastal Carolina (18)
17) James Madison - even though i believe they are a top 10 team. early lose dropped you pretty far. need few more wins and will be right back up there
18) Eastern Washington -One of the best offenses in the nation...but two early lose have you way downt he poll...fee more victories be right back up
19) Montana State - Could make a run late in the season to get up as high as 14th
20) UC Davis - anymore L on the schedule will knock you right out
21) Georgia Southern (25)
22) Youngstown State (NR)
23) Portland State (13)
24) McNeese State (24)
25) Idaho State

Dropped out: Sam Houston State (Just ran out of room, could easily switch a few of the bottom 22-25 teams and have them right there), Hofstra (bad, bad loss), Harvard no longer #1 - will have to win out to get even as high as 20th...confrence schedule is way to weak....

If i was to put together a top 25 team it would look something like that...and this is just going off of someone elses poll...and making a few adjustments...

5-8 could be rearranged...just to damn hard to copy and paste every team..got tired...would prob. put Poly around 6 or 7

11-16 if these teams were to play each other...it would be very intresting in who would win. its my opinion that NDSU can beat Texas St. and Lehigh...not to sure if they could beat App ST. and the Carolinas...but might be able to pull it out...just trying to explain the poll a little bit

Then why is McNeese St. ranked in this poll?

Then why is McNeese St. ranked in this poll?

I know, I struggled with that one as well...no good reason. Couldn't find another team I felt deserved to be above them.

I have a little trouble with Furman being ranked ahead of JMU at this point.

Furman:
Jacksonville State W 37-35
Western Carolina L 21-41
Samford W 45-23
Hofstra W 44-41 2OT
Gardner-Webb W 48-31

JMU:
Lock Haven W 56-0
Coastal Carolina L 27-31
Delaware State W 65-7
Hofstra W 42-10

JMU missed a couple easy kicks and lost to a now top 25 team. Furman was basically dominated by WCU, but they're ranked higher? When you look at JMU @ Hofstra compared to Hofstra @ Furman, it's clear which team should be ranked higher.

Rufus, you're probably right...but at 7/8, they're basically a toss up. We'll get a clearer picture as league play continues. I will probably correct that little imbalance in next weeks poll (assuming they both win ;) ;) )

Try Northwestern St. or Sam Houston St., both have played more games.

4)NDSU
