IMHO pretty convincing victory, 42-12.

Either TXST is a bona fide top 10 team, or Montana and Cal-Poly are over rated. Again, just my 2 cents worth.

We must remain focused as SLU gave Tulane a good game today in BR. Although Tulane is a bottom 10 I-A team.

I think a lot of us are beginning to think Montana is over-rated...then again, they'll always be a tough team to beat regardless...

Can't speak for Montana- the jury is still out on them and the SDSU/UM game was in Montana, but Cal-Poly had to play SDSU in Brookings,SD this year, which is a difficult place to play. (Prior to the CP game, SDSU had won 11/12 at home, the loss being by one point)

I do think Tex St is a good team however

Congrats on another great convincing showing. The Bobcats do appear to be real this year and IMO definitely deserve a top 10 rating just comparing scores/opponents. This has me seriously considering going down for the game between the Demons now, assuming we start winning in conference play.

I think Montana is overrated at the moment. If they keep winning, however, they'll get the home-field advantage in the playoffs and will win every game up there regardless of being overrated or not - that's a given.

You might wanna check again. Tulane will likely win their division in CUSA and finish 9-2, 8-3 and go to a bowl game this year. They were also No. 1 in the nation in total defense coming into the game. Their defense is outstanding and they weapons on offense. Not a top 25 team but very solid.

Not unreasonable on the CUSA pick but I'd personally pick UTEP even though the Miners lost at Memphis last night and they are the road team against Tulane.

Tulane had impressive defensive stats but they'd played Mississippi State and SMU so one would have to put a footnote by them. I think they're better than they've been the last few years and what Southeast Louisiana did was impressive but at least as of now I wouldn't favor them to win CUSA West.

The fact that they're a definite contender by anybody's measure, however, is saying something about their improvement.

Sorry, I have to disagree. I really do not believe Tulane will beat Southern Miss. I have seen both teams and SM was the more physical and athletic team in my opinion. Tulane's offense is pretty much based solely on the passing game although it is pretty effective. Both teams have veteran QB's.

Just my opinon and certainly no smack or slam to the Lions because they played a great game yesterday.

I agree that Southern Miss will beat Tulane (one of their two or three losses IMO) but they aren't in the same division. Tulane has Houston, Rice, SMU, Tulsa, and UTEP. Tulane is capable of winning all of those games though UTEP will be tough and they've traditionally had trouble with Houston.
