The Citadel Bulldogs held their final scrimmage of Spring Practice at Gen. Johnson Hagood C.S.A. Stadium today. The defense dominated the action allowing only one touchdown. Sophmore QB Cadet Duran Lawson looked good running 1st year Head Coach Kevin Higgin's spread option offense.

Our defense flew to the ball and looked FAST. The offense needs work but we have excellent speed on that side of the ball as well. We really need SOMEONE to step up in the wide receiver corps and give Lawson a target to throw to.

Overall I was impressed with the lack of wasted time at the practice I watched as well as the Blue and White Game. Coach Higgins appears to have the Cadets motivated and believing in themselves.

GO DOGS!

Neheimah Broughton will make a difference on whatever NFL team selects him.

That's Kevin--extremely organized. His time in the NFL ,as well as at Lehigh when the Eagles came arrived in July, results in practices being very choreographed in very specific 5-10 minute segments. You'll see a difference.
Good luck this year.

We have got some talent and a good system but an absolutely BRUTAL schedule. Here's to hoping we don't get beat up early.

citdog, I realize this is making a concession to the French, and I'm sure the battle was loud, but it's spelled BELLEAU Wood.
