It is surely, however, less than the $275,000-plus annual package reportedly given Mike London as the new coach at Colonial Athletic Association rival Richmond, which never has reached a national championship game. Just before Dave Clawson quit as Richmond coach to become Tennessee offensive coordinator at $400,000 per year in December, he’d signed a new deal approaching $300,000 annually.
