I would put Montana at #4 (no higher at this point)
I would put Eastern Washington #10 (no higher)
I would put North Dakota State #15 (no higher)
I also think that Idaho State at 3-1 deserves a #25 mention after their defeat of Eastern Washington.;)

If that statement is true....who in the next 20 teams is better than the Top 10? not too many.

Maybe no Super teams this year?

Just about any team you point to has some problems. Perhaps some of the traditionally strong teams will improve as the season goes on.

I have always thought that late season results were judged higher than early victories/losses for playoff spots.

Anyone agree?

I agree. Especially this year. This is my first year ranking, and it is a very difficult task at this point.

More Lehigh squawking... it would be better served if you had directed at LU's lousy performance vs VMI... rather than UD's schedule...

I still believe Lehigh's a top 15 team on talent alone. With that said, does anyone know the last time there was no PL team ranked in the TSN 25 poll? Early 2000 maybe?

If that statement is true....who in the next 20 teams is better than the Top 10? not too many.

I'm not saying I ranked them here, but:

WCU (looking good but one game canceled, hard to tell for sure, but they may be top five)
TxSt.
McNeese (ditto, but TWO games canceled)
PSU
NDSU
UCD
ISU (my pick for the Big Sky darkhorse (before they beat EWU))
Ill.St.
...others...

I would not be a bit surprised to see many of these teams in the top 10 in a few weeks, maybe sooner. I'm going to feel stupid when I end up putting WCU in my top 25 at #8 or something :o :o :o
