21-21 at the half. Looks like a barnburner. Unfortunately, another Martin INT (first drive) that was returned for a TD has made a big difference.

Furman stopped Hofstra three and out, then drove right down the field. Martin to Sprague for another Furman TD and a 28-21 FU lead...first lead of the day with just over 10:00 in the 3rd.

Unfortunately the offense is misfiring and Furman is playing solid defense. That's the problem with passing games. We need a big stop right now. Can't go down 2 td's

Uncle Buck
September 24th, 2005, 03:15 PM
Big PLAY! Now we need to get this ball down the field. Don't know what the flag was, but HU ball. Offense needs to do something and fast

great game, we suck and Ruggiero (sp?) the o-coordinator should be fired. Colston should stop believing his press clippings, drop at the 16 for a first down in OT, yeah, NFL prospect my a$$

thirdgendin

Great game from your guys, Uncle Buck. Good luck the rest of the way.

Wow, we really are getting our money's worth on close games this season. Despite the defensive numbers, I feel better about the Paladins after this game. This is definitely a quality win, but we'll have to improve defensively to beat Appalachian in two weeks.

Plus, these turnovers are killing us! A Martin INT was returned for a TD and Mays' fumble going into the end zone would've given FU a 35-21 lead. But Hofstra put together a 99-yard drive to tie the game and take all of the moment with them.

Gardner-Webb is up next week in Greenville.

Uncle Buck, I wouldn't be too hard on Colston. Mo Duncan made a great play to strip the ball out of his hands on the play in OT. Duncan rose to the challenge in OT. Good Luck Hofstra in the A10. I gotta feeling your team will do very well.

Uncle Buck
September 26th, 2005, 06:44 AM
Thanks, fuEMO. We can be pretty good this year, but we start a brutal conference schedule this week and better be ready to play. As for Colston, he needs to show more of a big play capability if he wants me to believe he is a pro prospect.
