Congrats on Thomas, but ASU didn't extend him a scholarship offer. The only 2 we offered were to DeAndre Presley and Dan Parker (lost to Troy). I do think he will be a good player for the Dogs.

Tate and Young both really fly.

I spoke with someone on campus at G-W this morning that told me the John Rock kid at quarterback was a real steal too. Very tall, athletic youngster who can sling it.

The other guys they seem particularly excited about are Harrison Martin at offensive tackle, Luke Stein at tight end, Kenny Little at running back and both Josh Young and Cameron Tate.

Yeah, its going to be exciting to see who can contribute right away... The most exciting part is the quality of depth, Gardner Webb is only losing 11 seniors... Compared to 27 signings and additional walk ons, the roster size might push 100 by time next fall

Yeah. Cameron Tate is indeed very fast. I saw him play in the Big 16 championship game. He fared pretty well matched up with a young AJ Green (just signed with UGA) as Gaffney won that title in 2005. Very fast cover guy.

I've heard from several alum that the administration at G-W has made a significant commitment to being more successful in all sports recently. Good news.

I saw today on Tennessean.com that Nashville's Joshua Henley de-committed to TTU in football to take a basketball scholarship offer from Gardner-Webb. He was going to play scholarship football at TTU and walk-on to the TTU basketball team. He is a 6-4 WR/point guard. 2-star rivals basketball recruit.
