Defensive end Walter Dublin, who was on the Ohio State roster in 2006 but didn't play because of an ankle injury in training camp, sat out last season. "He walks into the room and he looks like a Division I player," McInerney said. "He's a friend of our tight end Tyler Rossnagle, who's also from Sarasota [Fla.]. That helped us get Walter."

The list is highlighted by Walter Dublin, a defensive end who has transferred from Ohio State and will start his CCSU career on March 28, the first day of spring practice.

At 6-3, 235 pounds, Dublin didn’t immediately blossom in the Big 10, but should get off to a quicker start in the NEC.

“You’ve heard me say all along that we need to get a pass rusher, and I think we got a pass rusher,” McInerney said. The coach is particularly impressed by Dublin’s presence.

“Walter looks the part,” he said. “When he walks in the room, you go, ‘Ya. He’s a football player’. He should be extremely good for us.”

He was highly recruited and regarded out of high school.
