Yale?s Abare a Natural Leader; Now it?s Official
Yale linebacker Bobby Abare stands proudly at the captain’s fence in the basement of Payne Whitney after being named the 131st captain of the Bulldogs on Friday.

So shortly after being voted the 131st captain of Yale football, it was difficult for him to hide his joy and eagerness. He wanted to be voted captain by his peers, so much so he admitted to a few restless nights of sleep.
But that doesn’t mean Abare is looking to be selfish with the leadership role. In fact, the first subject he brought up with coach Jack Siedlecki Friday morning after the vote was how to get his classmates involved as leaders.
