Post pictures of the renderings of what your team is about to do to their stadium here (it's too hard to keep up with all the different threads).

Richmond unfortunately cannot refurbish / expand UR stadium, as the city owns it, and it is in a "crappy" neighborhood. So with only 2,800 students, UR has decided to build a smaller stadium on campus. For neighborly reasons, we cannot go above the capacity of the basketball arena, which is approximately 9,000. And for space reasons, we need to keep the current track around the soccer field where the new stadium is going to be sited. So here are the most recent renderings of the new First Market Stadium on UR's campus. It will be small and have a track, but it should be pretty beautiful with collegiate gothic architecture, luxury boxes, lot's of brick and right on the gorgeus campus of the University of Richmond, nestled right up in the pines.

Bigger is not always better. I'd rather have a packed 9k than a less than half full 22K. It's all about the atmosphere.

Plus, less JMU wahoos can invade with their purple streamers.

To use "JMU" and "wahoo" in the same sentence is insulting and uncalled for. Friends don't let friends go to UVA. xnonono2x xsmiley_wix

Very very nice. Looks more like a business school from the one angle than a football stadium.
Instead of "Welcome to the Rock" it should be "Welcome to the house that Armanti built"

HaHa. Thats actually pretty funny. But the names' been around a while yet Manti has a hand in recent growth. Those plans have been out for a few months. I believe they have started pouring footers on both east and west stands. The east stands are projected to be completed by start of 08 season. (we def need them)xpeacex

Can't do much about the looks, but this fall we'll make it feel like that place did on September 1, 2007. xsmiley_wix
