Versatile QB, strong running back commit to Eastern Illinois

Maybe Eastern Illinois will soon be giving opponents a running quarterback or, as defensive coordinator Roc Bellantoni used to call in aggravation, the 12th runner on the field.
That headache of having quick and elusive small running backs spend much of last season sidelined by injuries might be remedied as well.
Quarterback Doug Reynolds of Cincinnati Colerain and running back Desmin Ward of Milwaukee Hamilton are two of Eastern’s most recent verbal commitments who could brighten the future or maybe provide immediate impact as freshmen.
