The state of Connecticut wil host 4 huge college football games this Saturday at high noon.

At East Hartford- Syracuse at #24 UConn (8-2)
A Huskies win over 'Cuse would position them for a shot at their first Big East title and BCS bowl bid next week vs. West Virginia.

At New Haven - Harvard at #11 Yale (9-0)
Undefeated Yale looks to finish perfect and win the Ivy League title in "The Game."

At New Britain - Albany at Central Connecticut (6-4)
The Blue Devils can earn a share of the NEC title for the 3rd time in 4 years, and a trip to Dayton for a Gridiron Classic matchup vs. the Flyers.

At New Haven - Bryant at Southern Connecticut (8-3)
The Owls reach the D-II playoffs for the third year in a row, but the first time as a host.

It is very possible that 100,000+ people be watching college football live and in person in Connecticut this Saturday. I would think that would be a new record!

Projected attendance
Yale at Yale Bowl - 60,000+
UConn at The Rent - 40,000
CCSU at Arute - 4,000
SCSU at Jess Dow - 3,000

And what's best is that the FCS game will outdraw the FBS game.

The Yale game is supposed to be the biggest crowd for not just this weekend, but the biggest for a college sports event in 20 years in New England.

I'll be right across the state line in NYC seeing Brown take down Columbia. Might only be in front of a few thousand fans though.

are there any plans at uconn to expand their stadium... especially since they are doing so well now?

Only if they expand the beer stands. UCONN fans are too drunk to know what is going on down on the field.

any program that is 8-2 going to 9-2 in a bcs conference should not have that small of a stadium... but back to the convo at hand... that is really awesome that yale harvard is expecting that many people... it is my dream that asu's stadium could possibly hold that many people one day

I think the SCSU # will be higher. Bryant is taking a lot of busloads of students down. I would expect SCSU to have more in attendance than CCSU.
