I myself have a good feeling about the game. Everyone seems to be pumped up, including the players. Coach said that they were focused in practice this week.

I'm just glad everyone else noticed how bad the refs were today. It's one thing for all the FU fans to be complaining about it, but I feel justified when everyone else saw it too.

Probably the 'Dins' most complete game of the season. Shouldn't have been that close.

We did EXACTLY what we had to do. Make Foster throw the football. Put together long, time-consuming drives that kept Foster off the field and resulted in TD's.

I'm so happy that we never have to see Foster again...oh, and that we won :)

True, we did make some good catches, but we muffed a lot of easy passes, and Foster missed one screen pass and nearly overthrew Raja Andrews on another.

Fact is that you can't blame the kicker when you are dropping easy passes. It's like blaming the goalie when you lose in a soccer shootout.

Congratulations to the Furman players and coaches for a great win. I thought the Paladins played very well and deserved to win the game.

Even though I am very disappointed that Ga. Southern lost I very much enjoyed watching the game because I think this rivalry has become one of the great rivalries in college football.

Beginning with each team beating the other team to win a national championship in their first two games played. the fact that Furman always seems to have alot of players from Georgia, the fact that most years both teams are very good, every game seems to have tremendous intensity and emotion, and what seems to be great respect between the players make this rivalry very special at least to me.

For any Appalachian State fans who may care I also think the rivalry between ASU and GSU is very special and one of the best in college football, again, at least to me.

I think the better team won this game in spite of the zebras. Furman's defense showed up to play and did a phenomenal job slowing down GSU's running game.

Congratulations to Furman, they were the best 5-5 team I've ever seen in this division.

Furman's coaches coached a great game. Their offense really had a nice plan against GSU's zone pass coverage and their defense did a exceptional job against GSU's read option package.

It was an incredible atmosphere at Paulson last night.

I was worried going into the game that the SoCon officials would determine the outcome, and darned if they almost didn't. From where I sat the interference call wasn't warranted- especially in that situation. It did appear that Foster was down though.

GSU's Hartley has made a number of big kicks this year, the 54 yarder on the last play against SDSU and the long game winner against Wofford come to mind, so you can't blame it on him. If we are able to score TD's on those 3 drives and stop the Purps on third down in the third quarter it never comes down to a kick.

You win as a team and lose as a team. I was proud of GSU for their play in the last 7 minutes and the Purps should be proud of their team for not quitting on their season and coming into a tough atmosphere and prevailing.

It was another great entertaining game in another great entertaining season in the SoCon. Also, IMO, we don't deserve a playoff spot even if we win next week. You can't lose 3 games to sub 500 teams- two at home- and call yourself a playoff team.

Nice post blueballs, The fumble looked to me like it could have gone either way.It was definitely a close call and one that the refs should get the benefit of the doubt on.

Regardless, best of luck next week.

It still bothers me that on third down Hatcher let the clock run down and didn't try to put the ball in the center of the field. Being so close to the end zone, this makes the kick really tough, especially when Hatrley has already missed two. Hatcher should have made it easier for him.

Congratulations to Furman. Their defensive scheme was great. Their offense controled the football, and the clock. I give our guys credit for not giving up and getting themselves in position to win and the rest of you should too. There were bad calls on both sides so the refs can't be blamed.
