Heard some rumblings yesterday that the Texas Southern game against Prairie View A&M will take place on the Friday after Thanksgiving here in Houston. There's further discussion, according to some of the Tiger faithful, that pending the success of this game that they may keep it forever on the Friday after Turkey Day, giving yet another obstacle to getting the SWAC to join the I-AA playoffs.
I think the game is definitely set for after Thanksgiving. The talk about moving it permanently is just speculation.
It's still pathetic that TxSouthern has got to do a "home game" in Longview, Texas, three hours away from Houston against a conference rival. Guess this is the issue when the Cougars have a home game at your "home" stadium and a high school stadium is open a few hour aways. Why not play in Huntsville? I'm sure the Bearkats would let you in...
