I'm surprised the Citadel is not ranked. Maybe SOCON bias.

I'm supprised WIU dropped so far, they just lost to UNI. I mean everyone else is doing it so it must be ok...

So the coaches think there's 39 teams better than NAU. I'm now convinced they do NOT watch the games.

I wonder the rational behind the first place votes. Only two for UNI, even less than Montana.

I told you in an earlier post in this thread, Travis: They coaches are OBVIOUSLY not watching the games, or even looking at the scores....otherwise, there wouldn't be 39 teams ranked ahead of NAU. xsmhx xsmhx xsmhx

Please. the Citadel and San Diego have the same number of quality wins - none.

I'm surprised the Citadel is not ranked. Maybe SOCON bias.

Maybe because they haven't beaten any FCS team with a winning record?

IF USD defeats 7-1 Dayton, ( who has a win over Fordham, at Fordham ), does that count as a "quality win"?

How about this.... If Dayton wins out, finishes 10-1, ( 8-1 FCS ), with a win over Fordham, ( assuming Fordham is the PL AQ ), do the Flyers warrant consideration for an at large bid?

Or course my answer is yes! UD would have wins over Fordham, USD and Drake.... Granted, it probably will not happen, but you never know, I hear that is why we actually play the games....

The answer is no. When all is said and done you can post your argument for which at-large should have been replaced by either San Diego or Dayton. Think about who those teams might be, and I think you'll see the handwriting on the wall. UNH, JMU, Delaware, UMass, Richmond, Hofstra, Southern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Youngstown State, Western Illinois, Appalachian State, Wofford, Citadel, Elon, Georgia Southern, Montana State, Delaware State, Norfolk State and Nichols State are among the teams that could be under consideration for an at-large.

No one from either the NEC or PFL deserves consideration this year. San Diego is the only one that deserves to be talked about in the same sentence as the term "at-large". And then you remember who they played and you quickly write them off.

I think if Albany wins out they may crack the top 25 (may being the word), but certainly not an at-large. However, had we beat Hofstra and Colgate, sitting pretty with one loss at Montana, this would be a different story.

Maybe because they haven't beaten any FCS team with a winning record?

It is still inconsistent. We were way out of the poll until a good showing against Wisconsin and then a win over UTC. We dropped slightly out after the Wofford loss, but then wins over Furman and WCU didn't get us back in. Seeing how the same poll had lots 'o love for Furman before the season started, you'd think we would get a few more votes.

The bottom line is that even in 1992 we got little respect from the polls until they had no choice but to take notice. The way to get respect is to win, so we'll keep trying to do that.

If they watched it, they probably saw their QB. That would be enough to drop them out of D-I. xlolx
