I posted it for the discussion. Every week the Sagarin had been posted before this time.... but this week it wasn't.

I wont complain about the conference rankings. The CAA and Southern are both rocking along.... I can see them combining for a good chunk of the at larges

At first, I was a little surprised to see Elon rise that high, and App St. not fall. But, Elon and GSU have just joined the Wofford/ASU party of riding the Michigan win.

Conference strength is determined by OOC schedule. App St. has the granddaddy of OOC wins and now three other teams in the SoCon have either beaten App St. or beaten teams that beat App St.

Meanwhile, JMU's two OOC wins (VMI & CCU) have both lost to PU....at home. :( That's one stinky OOC schedule. ;)

Didn't expect Elon to be this high, but they certainly deserve it.

Because ASU beat Michigan. Pre-season bias in the system plus recent Michigan wins over "major" college programs keeps ASU's rating high which in turn helps the ratings of anyone who beats them.

I consider UD's OCC a "push." Navy cancels out West Chester(DII) and Monmouth. Dukie, wouldn't consider CCU a weak OCC team; just a down year for them.

I don't think it is just that. The App over Michigan win is proving valuable, but App also beat Elon by more than South Florida did. And considering Elon held a South Florida team down more than many I-As are doing is helping too.

Actually:

Teams that have beaten ASU:

Wofford
GSU

Teams that have beaten Wofford or GSU:

Elon (beat both, actually)
