Switch Yale and Nicholls State and the top 25 is about right.

Not that this is an accurate indication of playoff status, but 7 CAA teams are in the top 15 of eligible teams for the playoffs (Excluding Yale and NDSU). xeyebrowx xeyebrowx

Then again, the GPI uses a poll that has UNI 5 and SIU 3 AFTER last week's game. (Police Chief Dwiggins!!)

Unfortunately San Diego fans found that out last year.

If we win out, we make the playoffs. If we lose one, even if it is to Appy State, I think we will be watching Wofford and ASU on the boob tube.

I've probably asked this before, but is this the poll that allegedly determines playoff picks?

While I don't agree with every ranking, I think this is an accurate appraisal of where our teams deserve to be ranked as of today.

It appears the GPI has figured out that Montana has not played anyone and that UNI has beaten a decent FBS team. I have never been a fan of the GPI but on this occasion they have come close to getting it right. xsmiley_wix

I've probably asked this before, but is this the poll that allegedly determines playoff picks? The people on the selection committee determine playoff at-large picks using everything they can get their hands on and what they see. They have said they look at the GPI, but they also said they look at the polls and talk extensively among themselves. They have a conference call every week and make their own rankings.

Hardly. This is the poll that Portland State finished the regular season last year at #10 and did not go anywhere. No other eligible playoff team has ever finished that high and missed the playoffs.
