With EKU's 28-21 win on the road over #18 EIU, the Colonels move to 4-2, 3-0 in the OVC.

EKU now has road wins over Jacksonville State and EIU as well as home victories over Samford and Western Carolina.

The two losses came on the road at Kentucky and Western Kentucky.

What does it mean to the pollsters? Will EIU stay in the top 25?

Thanks for the support, Weems. I'm sure you're as surprised by UTM's record this year as the rest of us. I can sympathize with not meeting high preseason expectations. That has been the story of EKU for about 4 years now.

No one has responded to the central question... is EIU out of the top 25?

If they are not, they should be and EKU should crack the top 25 after how many years out of the picture? My biggest concern however, is that we keeping winning games and the polls won't make any difference, we get the auto bid and then we must take care of business! No slips ups against the likes of a SEMO or Murray State..we should and must win against them and the rest of the conference!!!!!xthumbsupx

I had EIU a ranked a little higher... so I didn't drop them out, but I put EKU in at 23.

I guess they don't teach spelling at El Cid; it must get in the way of all that close-order drill and manual of arms....j/k

EIU is nothing but a bunch of heathen and is God-forsaken, perhaps, but Charleston, IL isn't. I grew up near Charleston, IL. Mostly solid, conservative, moral Midwest people live there. I do believe you would appreciate this, being an alumnus of the Citadel.

Perhaps you also would appreciate that Charleston, IL was the site of a large riot between Union supporters and Copperheads during the Civil War (or War Between the States, as you folks like to call it):

You should get out more...
