We have had 4 straight home games sell out here at NDSU (4 including this one) and ticket booths arent selling anymore tickets for this saturday's game against UC Davis. They will be packed in tight for this one so anyone from Cali coming up to watch prepare your ears because this will be the loudest and most hostile enviroment you will be in this year and maybe for a while.
NDSU has come a long way from being 2-8 in 2002 in DII...

That is just awesome for you all. I can't imagine how loud that place will be next year during the playoffs. Next year semi-final game against UNI to see who plays Appy in the chipper! What an atmosphere that will be.
Congrats and I hope you sell out your next 100 games!
GO Griz and GO GO Bison!!!!!!!

Nice shot of the Fabulous Fargo Dome NDSUFreak. Thats the corner the Basketball arena is going to come off. In a couple of years that pic will be very dated.

The SUU game might still sell out. We have to wait and see. If we beat the Gophers there will be a lot of interest in welcoming The Bison back home. But we have a long way to go before that happens.

We still have a couple of hurdles to get past if we are going to arrive at the Metrodome as a real threat. The UCD game this weekend for example!

The arena addition would be paid for with city, NDSU and private funding.

It is on NDSU land.

It will be tough to get a ticket Captn. It might be sold out. They said there may be some standing room tickets avialable Sat morning. Very limited seating right now.

Of course, you could tailgate and then walk over to Wild Wings and watch it on TV. xthumbsupx

xeekx NDSU was 2-8 in 2002?xeekx I thought NDSU was always a perennial powerhouse playoff football team in D2? I don't ever remember hearing that NDSU having a losing season.

I've never seen a set up like that before; it's fabulous!xthumbsupx When does it start getting cold and start to snow in North Dakota?
I had an uncle stationed in the air force somewhere in North Dakota, and he was so miserable because it got so cold up there!

yes, NDSU only won two games in 2002. It was our 2nd losing season since the early 1960's. Our other losing season happened in the mid 70's.

Right now it could snow anytime but then again it could be 65 the day after it snows, the weather gets to be a rollercoaster during the transitional seasons. The snow doesn't usually start sticking until after thanksgiving and it doesn't get brutally cold until mid to late December.

Thats nothing compared to NDSU's new conference the Summit League.... There is IPFW, IUPUI, NDSU, SDSU, UMKC, WIU, ORU, SUU, and the you have Centenary and Oakland.

As for the quality of those other two Dakota Universities... USD is a great home team but struggles on the road(I think they're ranked somewhere in the top 20 of DII). As for UND.......they have a great football team. Now I need to go to take a shower after saying that.

I surely hope the BBall arena if built will be more then 6k capacity or at least with the option to expand to 8 or 9k. 6k is just not enough. Now back to football and the next game with the Aggies. I just chuckled at the Griz fans coming into this thread where there are pics of the Fargodome and the proposed BBall arena. Are there not enough threads on WA/Griz already? xlolx
