How much better was VA Tech than W&M? You guys have usually played the big 1A teams relatively close in years past, not this time.

Tech's special teams play was fantastic, and their defense is very good. Tribe had abysmal field position throughout the game. Tribe D showed well, holding Tech to 287 yards, and had 4 sacks. Tribe scoring drive was 94 yards, and missed a field goal in the second half after a nice drive. Special teams was the big difference. Game was more competitive than the score indicates.

Lets not get carried away...it was 41-3 at halftime and Tech played their back-ups in the second half and were very conservative with their play-calling. They didn't want to risk injuries, nor embarass you. ;)

No one's getting carried away. We're you there? Saying the game was more competitive than the score doesn't mean the game was close. Frank Beamer and the Hokie players will be the first to support that. Taylor was under pressure alot, and was sacked twice in the first half. Tribe also played reserves throughout the second half. The guy asked for an evaluation, and I gave it.

Don't worry, no one's saying the Tribe is as good as the Dukes.;)
