The Rams lead the Lions in the battle for the Liberty Cup, 17-0, at the half.

It's just a great night for football here in New York City.

Looks like Rams are building some good momentum for the big homecoming game next weekend against the Flyers!

Very true. I think both programs have improved over last season's rather dismal results. Should be a good match up. I'm making the 10 hour drive from Detroit to be there! I'm going to have to cheer extra loud to drown out all those homecoming fans, (LOL).

27-10 Fordham.

A big win for the Rams especially in light of the drubbing the Lions handed the Rams last year.

Tom Masella is turning the Fordham program around.

Jack Coffey Stadium looked great tonight under the lights.

Nice win indeed. The Patriot league looks stout this year as Lehigh and Lafayette both look very good and may be the best teams. However Holy Cross, Fordham, and Colgate also has nice wins today and are playing well and will all make a lot of noise this year.

Great to meet up with you Joe! Seemed like our kids all enjoyed the kids' park, so we're off to a good start.

As far as the game went, we just looked tremendous in dominating pretty much every aspect of the game. It was so great to see. Our Oline is very good this year and our new frosh. TB, Xavier Martin, is going to be tremendous. If we now have a legit running game to go with Skelton in the passing game, our offense is really going to be strong this year and should make us competitive in every game.

The D still concerns me due to our size, particularly against a big Oline/smash mouth running game; but they're fast and playing with passion, which is just fun to see again in the Bronx. Really looking forward to homecoming against Dayton and then onto the PL schedule.

I need to walk down to Jack Coffey Field to catch a game in October! Thought about heading to the Albany game but something came up.

I haven't been to a FU game since 1990 against Lehigh. That Lehigh team was stacked with Todd Brunner, Erick Torian and Andy Costello.

Expecting good things out of Fordham over the next few years, they hired a great head coach.

What a team is right. They killed a good Colgate team 52-7 at Bethlehem.

Skelton seems to be having a good year. Any news on Mara? Does he stand a realistic chance to compete for number 1 next year?

this is Skelton's team, carney ... barring injury I don't think there's a chance Mara sees the field (at QB, at least).

He guided the JV team to a win this past week: Fordham JV Upsets Global Institute (http://www.fordhamsports.com/asp_new/full_news.asp?TeamID=169&NewsID=1495). Global Institute?

carney, this last game showed that we may have a running game to go with a raw but pretty explosive receiving corps. Xavier Martin supposedly runs a 4.4 and at least v. Columbia he looks to have real football speed to go with some decent size as opposed to just being a track guy. Our Oline has been fantastic as well; again, though, they need to keep it up for Dayton this week and then we'll also see how they do v. a run D at Colgate that stifled Albany so well (the same Albany team that ran us over), so that'll be a huge test.

Assuming you guys have your standard huge and very good Oline, I see a team like yours giving us the most trouble since we're so small on D. I will say without a doubt, though, that we are going to be a tough game and could surprise anyone from here on out. These frosh are VERY talented and the first few games are allowing them to play with confidence. I still think we're as much at risk to have a clunker in there and lose a game to anyone on our skid but I also think we could beat anyone on it as well ... it's just going to be one of those odd-type of years. Regardless, I'm actually stunned at how good we are this year v. what I was expecting and at the job Masella and staff have done. Remarkable.
