NEC Football Week Three: Intra-state Conference Rivals Clash, Albany Hosts No. 19 Hofstra

Week Three is home to the season’s second conference game, an intra-state clash between Robert Morris and Saint Francis (PA). Albany continues its tough non-conference slate at home against CAA member Hofstra, while Central Connecticut State bids to extend its home winning streak against Southern Connecticut. Two MAAC teams are on Saturday’s docket. Sacred Heart tries for a 3-0 start on the road at Iona, while Wagner looks to rebound from last week’s nail-biting defeat at home against Marist. Defending NEC champion Monmouth is idle.

Robert Morris - big win on the road against a quality team = bigger win at home against a patsy.
Hofstra - best game of the week(in the NEC). I like Hofstra to ride the wave from beating Furman and win against Albany in a close one. Albany REALLY needs this win going to Montana next week. I don't see it happening.
CCSU - Blue devils roll over their D2 rival, win BIG
Sacred Heart - SHU at least can score big against D2 caliber teams.
Marist - based on the teams they have played being stronger than Wagners games
